EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

Emergency Management

In Whitehall, all Borough public safety agencies work together to ensure the necessary plans and programs are in place to lessen the impact of emergencies and disasters, both man-made and natural.  Events such as flash floods, severe weather, and large utility outages often occur without warning or time to prepare.

In the event of a disaster or emergency, Borough emergency managers will send important information through Swift Reach 911, the Borough’s emergency notification system. Additional information will also be found on the Whitehall Borough Police Department and Whitehall Fire Company’s Facebook pages.

Depending on the size and scale of such events, it is important for you to know that first responders may not be able to immediately reach you.  We strongly encourage each household to have enough supplies for each family member to be self-sufficient for at least three days.

If you have questions concerning the Borough’s Emergency Management Program, please email Deputy Chief of Police Jason Gagorik or call 412.884.1100.
