Chief of Police: Keith P. Henderson began his career as a Police Officer with Whitehall Borough in August of 1982. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1992, Deputy Chief of Police in 2015 and Chief of Police in 2017.
Over his career Chief Henderson has served Whitehall Borough in many ways, as an EMT, Crime Prevention/Community Relations Officer, Field Training Officer, Member of the Accident investigation and Reconstruction Team. He was assigned to the Pennsylvania State Attorney General’s Drug Task Force and the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Narcotic Enforcement Team. He started the Hunter Safety Program for the department in 1995 and served as an instructor for 20 years.
Chief Henderson holds a Bachelor Degree in Police Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, graduated from the Allegheny County Police Training Academy as class president and has completed post graduate classes at Penn State University in FTO, POSIT and POLEX Chief Henderson currently serves as the President of the Allegheny County Chief’s of Police Association, Executive Board member of the Western Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police and member of the SHACOG Police Chiefs Advisory Committee. He also Chairs the Allegheny County Police Training Academy’s Advisory Board.
