James F. Nowalk



Jim has 27 years experience as an elected municipal official, serving 10 years on council and 17 years as mayor in Whitehall Borough.

His interest in politics began when he was a government major at the University of Notre Dame and continued through Duquesne Law School.

Jim’s first job was with Allegheny County where he served for seven years as an assistant county solicitor and then three years as the executive director of the county’s four nursing homes.

Jim has been a member of the Executive Board of the Pennsylvania State Mayor’s Association for 16 years, serving as president for four years and the board member responsible for the education portion of the Annual Conference for the past 13 years.
