Additional reminders:
*There is only one size Recycle Toter – the 65 Gallon Blue Toter
*The Recycle Bins currently being used by Residents are yours to keep. If you wish to dispose of the bin, label it “TRASH” and have it at the curb for BULK COLLECTION the 3rd week of every month. (next one is the week of April 15th)
*Residents will start using the new Recycle Toters the week of April 1st
In regard to storage of the new Recycle Toter (and Green Refuse Toter); Borough Council amended the storage regulations of trash and recycle containers as follows:
104.4.5.6. With the exception of pickup days when the containers are placed for collection, garbage, rubbish and recycling containers shall be properly stored behind the front face of the building and shall be screened from view from the street. Borough-issued refuse and recycling containers may be placed against the building for storage as determined by the Code Enforcement Officer if physical conditions, including irregularity, narrowness or shallowness of lot size or shape or exceptional topographical or other physical conditions to the property makes it impossible to meet location and screening requirements.
Rules and Regulations of Homeowners Associations must be addressed through those bodies.
The Borough and Waste Management appreciate your patience as the rollout continues.
